Lauren and Chana work out of a small clinic in the heart of the village. Head spa over a warm basin, long relaxation massage, organic facials, lashes and brows. Every product on the shelf is organic and vegan, right down to their own label.
Lauren started in her own front room. Now half the Tablelands books in.
She built it slowly, and the regulars came with her: one client has been booking in since the front-room days, eighteen months and counting. The clinic on Quincan Close came later, and Chana came with it. Between them they now cover everything from a twenty minute brow tidy to a two hour fifteen head spa.
What they say about it themselves says it best. Their mission is to inspire each client to prioritise their wellness and wellbeing, and their promise is a gentle one: they unveil the beauty that already resides within you, they do not conjure it.
Lauren started out working from her own home and built SHE Day Spa into the clinic it is now, in the heart of Yungaburra. Regulars have followed her the whole way.
Chana joined Lauren at the clinic and now has her own following, with reviews singling out her massage pressure and her brow work.
The water halo head spa
You lie back on a bed they describe as the equivalent of a cloud, head resting over the basin, while warm water, the halo and a slow scalp massage do the rest. It comes in three lengths. An hour if you want the feeling without the afternoon gone. Two hours and a quarter if you want everything they know how to do.

Korean lash lifts, classic through to full volume sets, brow mapping, lamination and hybrid dye. Infills every two to three weeks keep a set going.

The piece of kit the head spa is built around. Thursdays run late, to seven, if the only hour you can spare is after work.

Quincan Close, at the front of the bakehouse and beside the doctor. The signage is still going up, so if you are looking for it the first time, aim for the bakery and you will be standing right outside. Plenty of parking, and everything in the village is a short walk away.
